Terms of Service

Last updated: September 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of YourSkillHub, an online course marketplace powered by edtechhublb.com ("YourSkillHub", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. This page is operational, plain-language copy describing how YourSkillHub actually works today — it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction, and you should seek that advice before relying on it for a business or legal decision.

Accounts and eligibility

You need an account to enroll in a course, apply to teach, or use most features of the site. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Every account has exactly one role at a time — Student, Instructor, or Admin — and what that role can do is enforced by the platform itself, not just hidden in the interface.

We may suspend an account that violates these Terms. A suspended account is immediately signed out and cannot sign back in, browse protected areas, or take any action on the platform until reinstated.

Course enrollment and access

When you successfully enroll in a course — whether it's free or paid — you receive lifetime access to that course's content as it exists at the time you completed it and any point after. There is no subscription, expiration date, or automatic loss of access once you are enrolled. We do not offer a way to remove your own enrollment, and enrollment records are not deleted by the ordinary operation of the platform.

Course pricing is fixed at the moment you begin checkout — a later price change by the instructor never affects what you already agreed to pay or already own.

Instructor responsibilities

Instructors are responsible for:

  • The accuracy, quality, and legality of every course they create, including video, text, and quiz content.
  • Only uploading or linking content they have the right to publish.
  • Responding to student questions submitted through the course Q&A feature.
  • Honoring any live webinar sessions they schedule, or rescheduling/cancelling them properly rather than simply not showing up.

A course must be submitted for review and approved by an administrator before it becomes publicly visible or purchasable. Once a course has been submitted, published, or unlisted, an instructor cannot delete it — only a still-unsubmitted draft can be deleted. This is a deliberate platform rule that protects students who have already enrolled: it guarantees an instructor cannot retroactively take away access to a course a student already owns.

Student responsibilities

Students are responsible for using course content for their own learning, submitting their own work for graded assessments, and engaging with instructors and other users respectfully through the Q&A feature.

Prohibited behavior

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials or let someone else use your account.
  • Attempt to access another user's courses, files, certificates, or account data.
  • Upload malicious files, or attempt to bypass file-type or file-size restrictions on uploads.
  • Attempt to circumvent payment verification to gain course access without paying.
  • Interfere with the platform's normal operation, including automated abuse of forms, uploads, or the Q&A feature.
  • Redistribute, resell, or publicly rehost course video or materials outside the platform without the instructor's and YourSkillHub's permission.

Intellectual property and uploaded content

Course content (video, text, quizzes, and other materials) remains the intellectual property of the instructor who created it, or of YourSkillHub where YourSkillHub is the creator. By submitting a course for publication, an instructor grants students who enroll a license to access and use that content for their own personal learning — not to redistribute it.

Files you upload (a CV for an instructor application, a payment receipt, a graded assignment submission, a profile picture) remain associated with your account and are used only for the purpose you uploaded them for, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Content and service availability

We aim to keep course content and the platform generally available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Video hosting and playback are provided through a third-party video platform (Bunny Stream); its availability affects ours. We may perform maintenance, and features may change over time as the platform develops.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict an account that violates these Terms, engages in abuse, or poses a security risk to the platform or other users. Where practical we will explain why. Suspension does not, by itself, delete your enrollment records or issued certificates.

Certificates

A course may define a certification rule (a required overall score across its assessments). If you meet that rule, YourSkillHub issues a certificate containing your name, the course title, the instructor's name, the issue date, and a unique certificate ID. Each certificate has a public verification page reachable only if you have its exact link or QR code — it is not listed anywhere or searchable, but it is not password-protected either, since its entire purpose is to let anyone holding that link confirm the certificate is genuine.

Webinars

Instructors may schedule live webinars attached to a course, including recurring series. Enrolled students receive reminder notifications and emails ahead of a scheduled webinar. An instructor may reschedule or cancel a webinar; reminders already sent or scheduled for a cancelled or since-changed session are not sent as if nothing happened — the platform accounts for the change.

Q&A and messages

Each course has a Q&A feature where students can ask questions and instructors can reply. Both asking and replying trigger an in-app notification and an email to the other party. YourSkillHub does not currently offer a separate private messaging system between users beyond this course Q&A.

Third-party services

YourSkillHub relies on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Bunny Stream — hosts and streams course trailer and lesson video.
  • Resend — delivers transactional email (verification, password reset, notifications, webinar reminders).
  • An S3-compatible object storage provider — stores uploaded files (CVs, payment receipts, assignment submissions, profile pictures).

Your use of embedded video content is also subject to that provider's own operation; we do not control their infrastructure directly.

Payments and manual payment verification

YourSkillHub's primary payment method is a manual bank/mobile-money transfer (currently WishMoney). When you choose to purchase a paid course, we display a payment destination and generate a reference for your transfer. Your enrollment is not finalized automatically — an administrator manually verifies that a matching payment was received before confirming it. If we cannot verify your payment, the request is rejected and you are not enrolled and not charged through the platform (any transfer you made outside the platform is between you and your payment provider, not something YourSkillHub can reverse on your behalf). Submitting the same purchase request twice does not create a duplicate pending charge.

Refunds

Because a WishMoney purchase already requires our manual confirmation before it is finalized, there is no separate self-service refund process for a confirmed WishMoney payment today. If in the future a payment is made and later refunded through a supported payment gateway, that refund does not automatically revoke a course enrollment already granted for that payment.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

YourSkillHub is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that any course will result in a particular skill, certification recognized by a third party, or career outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, YourSkillHub is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing here is intended to limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of YourSkillHub after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
