Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
This page explains the cookies YourSkillHub actually sets. We keep this short because we don't use very many: YourSkillHub does not run any advertising, behavioral-tracking, or analytics cookies at all.
Authentication / session cookie
When you sign in, YourSkillHub sets one session cookie so you stay signed in as you navigate the site. This cookie is:
- Strictly necessary — without it, the site can't tell you're signed in, and protected pages (your dashboard, course access, admin tools) can't work.
- HttpOnly — it can't be read by page JavaScript, which limits the damage a scripting bug could do.
- SameSite=Lax — it's not sent along with most cross-site requests, which helps prevent cross-site request forgery.
- Secure in production — sent only over HTTPS once the site is deployed to production, so it can never be intercepted over an unencrypted connection.
- Valid for up to 30 days of inactivity, refreshed while you're actively using the site, and cleared immediately when you sign out or when your account is suspended.
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function, we don't show a cookie-consent banner asking you to opt in to it — there is nothing optional to consent to.
What we don't use
- No advertising or ad-retargeting cookies.
- No behavioral analytics or tracking cookies (e.g. no Google Analytics-style visitor tracking).
- No third-party marketing pixels.
YourSkillHub also doesn't use browser localStorage or sessionStorage to store anything about you today.
Third-party content
Course trailer and lesson video is embedded from Bunny Stream. Loading that embedded player may involve Bunny's own infrastructure the same way any embedded video does — see our Privacy Policy for what that involves. We don't control cookies Bunny's player may set on its own domain when you play a video.
Changes to this policy
If YourSkillHub ever starts using additional cookies (for example, if we add analytics in the future), we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before setting anything beyond what's strictly necessary.
